Can I remove clothing labels?

Yes! Our labels are super durable, but with a little elbow grease you can remove them when you want to (with no damage to the item!). Here are some tips for removing them if you’re passing down, donating or selling clothing:

  • Iron-On Clothing Labels: Slightly warm the Iron-On labels with a hairdryer and pick at the edges
  • Tag Mates and Peel & Stick Name Labels:  Pick at one corner to lift and then peel the label. Other options are labelling atop the existing label if passing down clothing to a sibling or cutting the tags off if donating garments
  • Custom Clothing Stamp ink: Apply stain remover and wash in hot water repeatedly to speed up the fading process (if item allows for that temperature).
